2004 Toyota Tundra 4wd Light Blinking
Wont shift into 4wd traction control is clearly not working and neither is the ABS system. I then checked to see if i could engage the 4wd and it did and when i turned it off it took about another day of it blinking again.

30112012 The light on the 4WD button and the 4WDH indicator below the speedometer were flashing. 4HI4LO lights flashing Traction Control light is on indicating traction control is off and ABS light is on. When the light flashes continuously for more than 30 seconds it signifies there is a problem somewhere on your drivetrain system and that 4WD has not engaged properly.
Tap on it lightly while someone activates the 4wd button. The blinking light simply means 4WD is not fully engage. Next step is shift into Drive and see what happens.

There are two solenoids involved. Only way i can get it to stop it is to turn the engine off and restart sometimes takes more than once. Your not all the way in to 4 Wheel drive.

Not sure about the blinking light you describe if it is going into 4hi as you state. It will go into 4 high and engage but wont go into 4 low. Refer to your manual it clearly explains it.
